Honoring the Legacy of K9 Deputy Logan S. Fox

On March 6th, Back The Blue NC’s Founder and CEO, Lindsay LiCausi, had the distinct honor of attending the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT) Board of Transportation meeting alongside NC Attorney General Jeff Jackson. During this meeting, a Resolution was passed to officially name a bridge in memory of Fallen Watauga County Sheriff’s Deputy Logan S. Fox.

The N.C. 105 bridge over the Watauga River near Broadstone Road in Watauga County will now bear his name, standing as a lasting tribute to his service and sacrifice. This meaningful recognition ensures that Deputy Fox’s legacy will never be forgotten by those who travel this route.

Logan’s father and our Western Region Co-Chair, Timothy Fox, was able to attend the meeting via Zoom, where he personally invited Lindsay LiCausi to speak before the board. In her remarks, she expressed deep appreciation for this dedication and the board’s commitment to honoring North Carolina’s fallen heroes. Having worked closely with Timothy Fox, this was a bittersweet and deeply personal moment for all in attendance.

We extend our gratitude to NCDOT and all those who helped make this tribute possible. This bridge serves as a symbol of remembrance, respect, and gratitude for a brave officer who gave his life in service to his community.

Rest in peace, Deputy Logan S. Fox. You are not forgotten.
