Harnett County, NC Mourns Loss of Deputy Johnson; Back The Blue NC, Inc. Presents Funds to Surviving Family

The Harnett County Sheriff's Office, along with the entire community, is still deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Deputy Johnson, a dedicated School Resource Officer who was involved in a fatal vehicular accident on February 6, 2024, on his way home from duty. Deputy Johnson, a valued member of the law enforcement community, served with unwavering commitment and integrity.



Deputy Johnson's service extended beyond Harnett County, having dedicated 15 years with the Sampson County Sheriff's Office and nine years with the Dunn Police Department before joining the Harnett County Sheriff's Office 16 months ago. His impact and dedication to protecting and serving the community will always be remembered.


Deputy Johnson is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, four children, and his father. In recognition of his service and in support of his grieving family, Back The Blue NC attended an official presentation of funds raised for Deputy Johnson's surviving family. The event occurred Sunday afternoon at the Harnett County Sheriff's Office.



Back The Blue NC provided Deputy Johnson's widow with $10,600 to assist her and her children during this difficult time.


Additionally, memorial plaques were presented to Deputy Johnson's widow and the department as a token of remembrance and honor for his

dedicated service.
